Types of publications suitable for this venue

  • short site reports with discoveries of historical or anthropological interest, which contain conclusions more than just “something was found”
  • new technologies that allowed for enhanced imaging, data processing or three-dimensional analysis
  • results that may be less than conclusive, but show possible variations in the ground or collection or processing techniques that produced equivocal results
  • synthesized reports from larger site reports that display results of regional or culturally specific conclusions of interest, without the detail usually necessary for larger reports
  • editorial comments and/or analyses of published results by other researchers (written in a civil and scholarly manner)
  • results from past work that may be lingering in the “gray literature” and that needs to “see the light of day” finally
