• They can be written in whatever language you think appropriate for the audience you want to reach. English has been the preferred language in most peer reviewed articles around the world, but this necessity often excludes readers who we would like to reach with this publishing venue. If there is enough interested in a non-English language, we can translate it and re-post it in English.
  • Use whatever test format you want. Usually an 11-12 point font is desirable. Submit articles as a Word .docx file so that we can edit them easily after submission. Final submissions, after they have been reviewed and accepted for publication, will be converted to .pdf files before being posted.
  • Articles need to include these major headings:
    • Title
    • Author(s)
    • Author contact e-mail for correspondence
    • Abstract
    • Subheadings that will likely include variations on these basic themes:
      • Introduction
      • Data collection
      • Data processing
      • Interpretation
      • Relevance to the questions at hand
      • Conclusions
    • Acknowledgments
    • References cited
    • Possible extra tables or appendices, if necessary
  • Citations within the text must be paranthetical and follow one of many referencing types. Choose one that you like and be consistent in its use.
  • Figures need to be placed within the text directly after the paragraph where they are first cited paranthetically. Please make sure images are high quality. Often it is best to save them first from whatever software you are using to create them as .tif or other high resolution image files and then use an image processing software to convert them to still-high-resolution .jpg files that are smaller in size. ONLY insert final images in your Word (.docx) document as .jpg files. Include figure captions, numbered in sequence, directly below the images that are inserted in the text.
  • You can wrap the text around the images in the text if you wish a more professional “look” or not as you please.
  • Please submit articles that include both text and inserted figures in ONE document (docx) as an e-mail attachment to lconyers@gpr-archaeology.com

Articles will be reviewed by the Editorial Board and sent back to you with:

  • comments
  • suggestions
  • our decision in these categories:
    • acceptance as is
    • provisional acceptance subject to revision and re-submission
    • rejection with reasons given

Once final articles are submitted for publication they will be placed here published article page . Articles are not copyrighted, and as this is an “open access” publication site. They are available to anyone as links to their location on this published article page. Or you can distribute the final product on your own websites or in any other sharing program with anyone you wish (or as e-mail attachments that you generate), and link back to this page if you wish.

Upon publication, notification will be sent to all our subscribers so they know that your work is available to read. There is a comment section for each article, moderated by the Editorial Board, where readers can make polite and constructive comments and critiques, which will hopefully generate new ideas and research directions from others in our community.

Authors are encouraged to take the comments and suggestions developed here within our community and re-write or revise the work for publication re-submittal here, or elsewhere in whatever journal or other medium you choose.
